I m resident of India,a banker by profession n Buddhist by religion.I am from the mountainous State of Sikkim which is lapped by Himalayas.
I am nearing retirement from my professional life and wanted to construct a 2 n half storied duplex flat for my family.I have a loving wife n two teenage daughters.I had purchased a piece of land around 2100 sq ft n intend to start constructing a house very soon next year.I need to invite you to design our family's house.I find your designs really impressive n seek help from you.I would like to point out certain salient features about the terrain,weather n our ideas to help you in this process.
Rest I am a practising Buddhist ,you are always welcome to be in Sikkim where one can visit very revered Buddhist Monasteries.

Sikkim witnesses heavy rainfall for 4 months n temperature going to 3 to 4 degrees(minimum) for 4 months
My place is a hilly terrain where stepp agriculture used to be done.
I get a front facing (East)majestic unblocked view of the opposite valley from my plot
My cousin who is learning architecture has prepared a 3d drawing but I wanted someone professional to approve or improve upon
My basic idea is
Ground floor—Living Room,Dining Room,Kitchen,One bedroom with attached toilet with closet,common toilet.I want to know the position of the staircase as I want a sense of airiness n openness to my house
1st floor-2bedrooms n 1 guest room with all having attached toilet with closet
A living room space
2nd floor-Our prayer room (so half construction in this floor).I want a open small kitchenette area and a common toilet,a covered pergola for relaxing with friends
Rest area would be open
Since it rains heavily for 4 months what kinda modern roof ideas I can go for in the terrace
